Seasonal Team Leaders, Hopewell
Position Summary:
The Seasonal Team Leader is responsible for coordinating the flow of product, gift production and supervises the safety, quality, performance and productivity of the associates assigned to their work area. We have several seasonal team leader positions available in our shipping, receiving, assembly, stores distribution and fullfillment departments.
Shift: Opportunities are available on all three shifts during our peak season. Flexibility to train on first shift is preferred.
This is a seasonal hourly paid position. Regular benefits are not provided for this position. This position is located at our Hopewell Center in Hebron, Ohio.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for supervising a team of 16 – 35 seasonal associates.
- Provides constructive and timely feedback to associates regarding performance and productivity. Uses department tracking and reports.
- Provide accurate line detail so that performance standards and productivity can be calculated.
- Proactively addresses bottlenecks in operation and demonstrates the required proficiency and knowledge in operational and system related functions.
- Impacts retention positively by fostering a respectful team environment that supports Workplace Values through professional communication, motivation and timely problem resolution.
- Maintain close communication with the department Supervisor, peer Supervisors, Coordinators and Trainers to ensure product flow and assist with problem resolution. Reports line shortages, trends and issues proactively to avoid or head off potential problems.
- Maintains and actively supports safety programs, immediately addresses safety issues and ensures proper usage of equipment.
- Ensures compliance with all department procedures and standards are followed and met.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years supervisory and/or team leader experience.
- PC skills with proficiency in Excel and Outlook a plus.
- Strong and proven leadership skills, with the ability to effectively provide feedback regarding departmental and individual performance.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, & interpersonal) for effective interaction with all levels of company.
- Ability to train and motivate a large group to common goals in a multi-task environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, consistently meeting deadlines with accurate & detailed results.
- Problem solving skills with the ability to make decisions independently.
- Highly dependable and able to work a flexible schedule with varying job duties in multiple departments.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for an extended time.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds continuously, and 40 pounds when needed.
