Sr. Cost Accountant - Sr. Financial Analyst

Position Summary:

This is a high visibility position. This person will be the lead financial person monitoring, auditing, and analyzing the operational financials and the company’s standard costing for manufacturing. In addition this person will be responsible for preparing financial analyses and providing operational support in managing the monthly financial forecast, and creating and maintaining reports to explain variances and summarize the company’s month-ending results. This position is located in Medford, Oregon.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible that the standard cost are set up correctly
  • Assist operations in budgeting process for direct labor, indirect labor, mfg salary and all burden costs; integrate efficiency & productivity metrics in planning and forecasting
  • Analyze period-ending financial results and standard cost variance and investigate variances versus forecast and budget.
  • Work with operations in identifying areas of improvement and efficiencies
  • Take company from a variable standard cost model to a full standard cost model
  • Coordinate the completion of monthly forecasts and the annual budget for the support services divisions.
  • In charge for the annual standard cost roll
  • Other tasks and special projects as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Standard cost accounting experience. SAP experience preferred.
  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Two to five years related work experience.
  • High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with emphasis on accuracy and team participation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) for effective interaction with all levels of company management and personnel and outside parties.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, consistently meeting deadlines with accurate and detailed results.
