Public Relations Manager

Position Summary:

The PR Manager manages outside agency and media relations, and supports the definition of the corporate identity to employees, customers and the media community. This position is also responsible for organizing events and promotions that elevate brand awareness via product placement, publicity and social media. This position is based in Beverly Hills, California.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and manage a PR plan that will introduce the new brand identity to media, customers and prospects.
  • Manage day-to-day social media campaigns, contests and ongoing dialogue.
  • Manage the integration of content as developed by celebrity spokespersons and lifestyle editor.
  • Plan and manage publicity activities working with the agency to maximize buzz and word of mouth.
  • Organize and carry out events to promote employee morale and community goodwill.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing or related major.
  • At least five years experience in a project/account management role at an agency or marketing organization for a consumer facing company.
  • Industry experience in consumer products, hospitality, food and beverage. Experience in a startup environment preferred.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills to develop and deliver PR presentations, content, messaging and corporate communications.
  • Experience with social media content and dialogue management.
  • Experience managing external partners and agencies.
  • Experience launching and rebranding products and services to consumer market.
  • Understanding of PR, media management and publicity.
  • Results oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
