Manager, B2B Marketing
Position Summary:
The Manager, B2B Marketing is responsible for the successful management, development
and analysis of marketing campaigns targeted to the business customer. As a critical member
of the marketing team, this person will work closely with the marketing, creative and sales
teams to drive incremental demand and profit to the company. In conjunction with the
marketing and merchandising teams, this position will manage the catalog, email and website
marketing as it relates to the business customer. In addition, the manager will source and
evaluate lists and leads for the sales team. This position is located in Medford, Oregon.
Essential Functions
- Serve as the internal expert on B2B marketing and the business customer
- In conjunction with merchandising and direct marketing team, manage the catalog,
email and website messaging along with the promotional strategy as it relates to the
business customer
- Develop messaging cadence and coordinate collateral needs
- Oversee development of contact strategy
- Develop source of lists and leads for sales team
- Report on, analyze and optimize campaigns; inform senior management on overall
performance
- Drive the strategic, long term direction for business marketing as it relates to the
overall marketing plan
- Work with the channel merchandising team, marketing, creative and website
operations groups to optimize the website, email, catalog and other media devices for
B2B relevancy.
- Provide input for use in annual budgeting process supporting overall media mix
- Stay current on company-wide and industry best practices/trends in marketing and
lead generation, with an emphasis in B2B
- Manage external agencies and internal resources.
- Lead cross divisional initiatives, partnering with the sales team, Merchandising, Ecom
IT, Creative Services, Internet Operations to drive education and best practices to
support Business Marketing initiatives
- Partner with Retail, Product Innovation, Marketing, and Wholesale to increase
customer acquisition and retention, and drive incremental cross-channel sales.
- Promote a continual test and learn culture
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred.
Experience:
- 5+ years specific B2B experience working a B2B retail environment
- B2B lead generation experience
- 3+ years experience working in a direct marketing company
- Experience with cooperative databases, outside list brokerage firms and b2b compiled
files preferred
- Experience and ability to collate findings and provide engaging, insightful campaign
reviews
- Experience managing external agencies including RFPs, media and contract
negotiations
Brand marketing experience a plus. This person must be ROI focused and highly skilled in
direct marketing. Strong organizational and analytical skills required. This position requires
excellent communication and relationship skills. Well developed ability to multi-task and
prioritize with strong attention to details.
