Maintenance Mechanic
Position Summary:
This position performs preventive maintenance and all routine maintenance to ensure equipment is maintained and running in good condition using safe work habits and food safety practices. Perform general maintenance to buildings, grounds, machinery, racking, and etc. This position is located in Hebron, Ohio.
Essential Functions
- Assist maintenance personnel with general repair and maintenance activities.
- Responsible for operating the battery changing machine for Forklifts.
- Helps maintain equipment to insure it is in good operational condition with the use of safe work habits and food safety practices.
- Perform other daily duties as assigned including PM, daily inspections, and project tasks.
- Ability to perform job functions following safety requirements at all times
- Attend daily department start up meetings with the supervisor and the rest of the department group to go over the daily assignments.
Position Requirements:
- Education - High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience - The top candidate for this position will have one to two years of experience. Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools required. Previous forklift experience with the abiity to be certified on all equipment.
Special Requirements:
- Able to use all hand tools, all basic power tools for metal and wood working; basic measuring tools, and has an understanding of simple daily mathematical abilities. Will be required to complete company training of forklift operations, Lock Out/Tag Out, Arc Flash boundaries, hot work permits, and food safety practices.
- Able to lift up to 30lbs consistently and 50lbs on occasion. Able to stand, walk for extended periods (8 hours +) and stoop, kneel, crawl and climb. Able to work in heights of 30+ feet and in cold storage (0 to 40 degrees) for extended periods of time (8 hours). Able to work outdoors and in cold storage (-10 to 40 degrees).
